Introduction

Welcome to accessibility.chat. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we collect, use, and share information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection and usage when you visit our website.

Information We Collect

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information through Google Analytics:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, referring websites
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Location Data: Approximate geographic location based on IP address (country, city)
  • Technical Data: IP address, timestamps, screen resolution

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. These cookies help us improve the user experience and content quality. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Luke Beta, Login, and Uploaded Documents

Luke is a gated beta accessibility screening assistant. If you use Luke, we may process your Google account sign-in information, prompts, chat history stored in your browser or associated project history, uploaded files, extracted document text, web audit URLs, and technical usage logs needed to operate and protect the service.

Uploaded documents and pasted text may be sent to Luke's backend and to the AI model providers configured for the service so Luke can extract, summarize, and review the content you ask about. During beta, do not upload confidential, privileged, health, financial, or sensitive personal information unless you are authorized to process it through Luke.

We use Luke usage data to enforce beta access controls, prevent abuse, debug failures, improve report quality, and control operating costs. Luke's web and PDF checks are screening tools and are not a substitute for a full accessibility audit, legal review, or human validation.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

  • Analytics: Understanding how visitors use our site to improve content and user experience
  • Content Optimization: Identifying popular topics and adjusting our coverage accordingly
  • Technical Improvements: Identifying and fixing technical issues
  • Newsletter: Sending weekly updates if you subscribe (opt-in only)
  • Luke Beta: Authenticating approved users, processing prompts and uploads, generating screening responses, enforcing usage limits, and debugging the service
